THE INCLUSIVE ART ROOM This course provides foundational knowledge about practice and policy for special needs populations. It is a co-requisite with ADE 616B a course in which students do their required time (100 hours) of fieldwork in inclusion classrooms. Students will also be able to situate their fieldwork experience within broader social, cultural, and historical contexts that shape artistic expression and special education systems. Students will also be familiar with multiple perspectives---social, cultural, linguistic, family, and community---that shape teaching practice and student learning.
